The Illinois MPO Advisory Council monitors various infrastructure projects in Illinois. Below you will find several projects of regional significance.
High Speed Rail
The Chicago to St. Louis Corridor is 284 miles long. The overall purpose of this project is to enhance the passenger
transportation network within the Chicago to St. Louis corridor,

Illiana Expressway
IDOT and INDOT are initiating the Illiana Corridor Study,
following the federal National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA)

South Suburban Airport
The vision for the South Suburban Airport involves designing and constructing a supplemental, commercial service airfield that will serve the greater Chicagoland area. Click here for more information.
